Born on May 22, 1972.
In 1997, a life-changing car accident left him blind in one eye and brought him to the brink of death. This near-death experience became a turning point that led him to connect deeply with his true self—his higher self.

Since that time, his heart opened to the unseen beauty of the natural world. He began to photograph the energy interwoven through Mt. Fuji, clouds, water, and light.

His photographs often capture mysterious circular light forms and energy that ordinary cameras cannot record. Many viewers report feeling a powerful energy just by looking at his works.

His art connects the visible and invisible worlds through “light,” resonating with people both in Japan and internationally. The presence of his work is truly one of a kind.

In August 2008, he held his first solo exhibition in New York under the name SUNCATCHER Photographer TAiYOKEiTA. Since then, he has held numerous exhibitions across Japan and collaborated with various artists.

Since 2011, he has created the Fuji wa Haretari – Nihonbare Calendar, a lunar-solar calendar rooted in Mt. Fuji’s rhythms.
In January 2016, he held a photo exhibition at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan.
In January 2017, he published his first photobook, Messages of Light That Bring Happiness Just by Looking.
In January 2024, he released his second book, Japan’s Most Auspicious Sunrise – Fuji Sun-Gazing.
That April, he received the Semi-Grand Prize at the “New York Open Exhibition – Spring 2024.”

Today, through sunrise tours and photography exhibitions, he continues to share the radiant beauty of Japan—the Land of the Rising Sun—with the world.
